Who I am

Designing and systemizing for a decade

Human firstDesigner second

I’m a product designer who builds, integrates, and scales design systems. From freight operations to a family of brands, pharmaceutical processes, and dashboards alike—every single system needed a different shape.

That shape is what I care deeply for. How the layers fit and what has to be true before anything gets built on top.

I’ve used the word “Foundations” at every job I’ve had. We must have rigor in foundations, first, then we can scale! It might be because I’m a framer’s daughter. Growing up on job sites, watching the 2x4’s form house-like shapes. I always thought the house looked so ugly at that stage, no siding, no painted walls, or a pretty front door.

My dad built the part of a house you never see once the walls go up. A structure that everything else depends on being right.

I think about design systems the same way. When the framing is right, design work is enabled and easier. When it’s wrong, you’ll find yourself seeing a lot of shims and drywall mud to make things look right.

Every company’s home is unique and in different stages. The work is finding the right structure to get things square, so that growing doesn’t mean a remodel every time.

Let’s get to framing!
